A last-second field goal has sent the Harding University Bisons to a a place they've never been before--the NCAA Division II National Semifinals.
Senior kicker Tristan Parsley's 20-yard field goal as time expired sealed a 16-14 victory for Harding as the Bisons downed Ferris State in Big Rapids, Michigan Saturday. Parsley, who had missed a 39-yard field goal attempt earlier in the game, stayed true to propel his team to new heights. Parsley converted field goals of 22, 37 and 20 yards in the win.
As part of a 303-yard rushing attack, freshman running back Cole Chancey paced the Bisons with 26 carries for 86 yards in the win.
After dropping its first three games of the season, the Bisons have stampeded to 11 straight wins, including wins over No. 6 Indianapolis, No. 9 Ashland and No. 10 Ferris State in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
Harding travels to Commerce, TX. to take on Texas A&M Commerce Saturday, Dec. 9.
